I am looking for people's comments on the Winnebago View motorhome. Anyone care to offer their opinion? My wife and I are considering purchasing one.

There has been previous discussions on the Winnebago View/ Itasca Navion. I believe you will find them psoted on the Class C section perhaps or lower in the Class B section.
The only negative I have heard from anyone is that IF you install a leveling system on the chassis it would void the chassis warranty. I have NOT confirmed this with Winnebago, but my best intentions are to call them in the next few days to ask. I will post their comments. The folks I have spoken with loved the height vs. the traditioanl Class B units. The sales folks I have spoken with say there are basically two groups that are the primary buyers of these units. Couples moving up from Class B's to gain room and economy. The other group are folks moving from Class A & C's with two folks traveling, for ease of handeling and economy. If you haven't driven one you need to go enjoy that experience. It has plenty of power, and the ride and ease of handeling is truely amazing. There are similar units being manufactured by a few other, but in a side by side comparision the Winnebago/Itasca product is so far superior all around that the others barely warrant mention. My opinion, Lou |

My yougest brother purcahsed a 2006 Winnebago View last summer. He has put over 17K on it so far and have taken it on two trips from Northern California to Edmonton Alberta, Canada twice. Redwoods - several trips to San Francisco and three trips to Los Angeles.
I think this is one of the most complete and versatile motorhomes on the market. They are averaging approx. 18 - 20 MPG and can parrallel park this on streets in downtown San Francisco. The motorhome is no doubt much more expensive - than regular motorhomes, of this size - but we found the cabinets to be made of high quality materials and very solid. There is no "press-board" in this unit. All solid woods. Winnebago has also outfitted this unit with the best quality generator and appliances. My brother has been VERY pleased. Ogeltree |

I have owned a couple of Winnebago/Itasca's and they make a fine product as LGM has stated here on the forum. I totally agree with his assumption and analysis. The company takes pride in what they offer at an affordable price compared to many others. The View and the Navion are perfect example's on how a company can take a new chassis and make a fantastic little RV.
