Hi Jessica and

If you type in Forest River in the little box next to the "Search" button at the top of the page, this will lead you to five threads that discuss this Manufacturer.

We have a Cardinal by FR and are very pleased with it. We have not had any problems with it that weren't "user caused" Had to have 2 Day/Night shades replaced because user wasn't careful raising and lowering..not gonna mention any names but I am married to him \:D/ lol. You will find someone somewhere that hates FR products...and you will find someone somewhere that hates all the other manufacturers. You just have to go with what suits your needs. It's a gamble no matter which brand you choose. Same thing when you buy a car or truck, or any purchase for that matter. Good Luck and Happy Hunting!!

Hi Jessica, how are you doing and a great big welcome to the rvlivin forum. My first toy hauler was made by forest river and it was pretty good trailer, but I am now on my 2nd Weekend Warrior and feel they build a better toy box. Are you considering a regular trailer or a toy hauler? One thing I will point out is that the smooth siding is worth the extra $2000 or so that they charge. I had a lot of people when I sold my Sierra toy hauler turn their noses up at the aluminum siding and the complete opposite when I sold my Weekend Warrio with the smooth siding. Something you might think about whether you buy off the lot or order one new.

Great Luck to you on your decision and purchase.

Default Forest River Fifth Wheels

We own a 2006 FR Fifth Wheel 30' Model 8528BHSS and we are very pleased with it. I know that there are a lot of people that like to bash Forest River products but I do not pay them any attention. We purchased ours because we liked the floor plan and the weight was in the right range for my truck. You can get a lemon no matter what you purchase. Just wanted to let everyone that we love our 5er and plan on keeping it for a long time.

I'm with you there Viper, we've had our entry level 28' Salem for six years and it has seen at least five months per year of usage and travellled some 40,000 miles and it's still going strong with no major problems encountered. The few things that did go wrong were in supplied appliances so would have been encountered no matter the brand.

We also found Forest River very fair to deal with.

Hi Jessica. We have a '04 Sierra 31RLBS and love it. We previously had a couple of TT's made by other companies. We looked at various makes and models of 5er's before buying, and went with the Sierra for the floorplan and features and the price!!! We've only had a few issues that were all cared for by the dealer. Good luck with your decision.
